About the role

Responsibilities

  • Execute Human Capital and Payroll functions, including recruitment, induction, and employee lifecycle management.
  • Coordinate monthly payroll inputs, ensuring accuracy in overtime, commission, and employment contracts.
  • Manage employee benefits administration, including claim withdrawals, disability applications, and wellness activities.
  • Facilitate recruitment processes by circulating vacancies, screening applicants, and advising on market-related packages.
  • Handle employee terminations, including exit interviews and reporting.
  • Prepare and update monthly Employment Equity (EE) and Worker Forum reporting and statistics.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and digital files within VIP People and other HR systems.
  • Provide prompt responses to internal and external HR-related queries.
  • Ensure compliance with current Human Capital policies, procedures, and relevant labor legislation.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric and a tertiary qualification (Diploma or Degree) in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar environment, with a primary focus on benefits administration.
  • Working knowledge of Kerridge and the MEIBC Main agreement.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Labour Relations Act (LRA), Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), Employment Equity Act (EEA), and Skills Development Act (SDA).
  • Valid Code 8 driver's licence.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
