Hub Operator

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manipulate on-air playlists, execute program/commercial/marketing changes, and support live-event workflows
• Perform ingest and quality control of broadcast materials into automation systems
• Manage commercial integration, including rolling commercial breaks during taped and live programming
• Monitor and maintain continuity and availability for multiple channel streams
• Act as a first responder for internal clients and troubleshoot channel playout issues
• Vigilantly monitor audio, video, captioning, and picture quality to protect on-air integrity
• Work with Technical Managers to promptly recover from any on-air discrepancies

Requirements

• BA/BS in a related field or equivalent experience
• Basic understanding of television production and broadcast operations
• Proficiency in Microsoft O365 and Excel
• Knowledge of video/audio routing and automation systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve broadcast issues under pressure
• Must be willing to work onsite in Charlotte, North Carolina
• Must be available for flexible hours, including overnights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a master control or production control room television environment
• Proven passion for media, television, and technology
