HSE Specialist, Industrial Hygienist

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and control occupational health hazards to protect employees, contractors, and the community
• Implement and maintain occupational exposure monitoring programs aligned with company standards
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative exposure assessments for chemical, physical, and biological hazards
• Interpret monitoring results and recommend control measures using the hierarchy of controls
• Prepare accurate occupational hygiene reports, including exposure determinations and recommendations
• Maintain exposure records in accordance with regulatory and company requirements
• Collaborate with HSE team members, operations, and maintenance personnel to support refinery objectives
• Support regulatory inspections and audits with County, State, and Federal agencies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Health and Environmental Science, or a related field
• General knowledge of occupational health regulations and exposure assessment methods

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience
• Experience applying industrial hygiene principles in an industrial, manufacturing, or refinery environment
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead projects of moderate scope with limited supervision
• Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation
