HSE Specialist

Responsibilities

• Manage the HSE management system, including the development and control of the unit's Annual Plan
• Provide HSE direction, supervision, and guidance across designated units to ensure regulatory compliance
• Identify and support actions to improve site safety through technical knowledge and risk assessments
• Assist in the investigation of accidents, near-misses, and occupational diseases to identify root causes
• Organize employee inductions, training sessions, emergency brigade formation, and drills
• Oversee the Health and Safety Committee and ensure compliance from third-party security and medical services
• Monitor industrial hygiene, environmental impact, and sustainability initiatives

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in HSE positions
• At least 1 year of experience managing HSE management systems
• Advanced proficiency in English or Spanish
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Availability to travel

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialized courses or postgraduate studies in Health, Safety, and Environment
