HSE Officer/Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies and programs in accordance with local laws
• Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification for all project phases
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
• Interface with project teams, contractors, and clients regarding HSE requirements
• Prepare and deliver HSE training, inductions, and awareness campaigns
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, and incidents
• Coordinate emergency response planning and drills
• Monitor compliance with PPE usage and safe work procedures
• Liaise with government agencies for statutory reporting
• Track HSE performance metrics and prepare management reports
• Promote a proactive safety culture across the organization

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in construction, manufacturing, or industrial sectors
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to influence behavior and communicate safety expectations
• Basic understanding of budgeting and cost control for HSE initiatives
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HSE management systems
• Experience conducting site inspections and audits
