HSE Officer/HSE Engineer (Solar Farm)

Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce the Project HSE Plan for solar farm construction
• Oversee safety during PV module installation, mounting structure assembly, and electrical works
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and hazard assessments
• Monitor risks related to DC electrical systems, work at heights, and lifting operations
• Enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
• Ensure compliance with DENR regulations and ECC requirements
• Conduct solar-specific safety inductions and toolbox talks
• Investigate incidents and prepare detailed HSE reports and corrective action plans
• Maintain HSE documentation and coordinate with Project Managers and EPC contractors

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
• 3–5+ years HSE experience in construction, preferably in solar or renewable energy
• Certified DOLE Safety Officer (SO2 or SO3)
• BOSH/COSH certification required
• Strong knowledge of Philippine HSE regulations
• Ability to work in remote, high-temperature site conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in utility-scale solar PV farm construction
• Familiarity with PV systems, inverters, and substations
• Experience working in EPC or consultancy environments
