HSE Officer

Responsibilities

• Implement Parsons HSE Policy, HSE Plan, and relevant HSE legislation and requirements
• Monitor HSE performance and targets, suggesting measures for continuous improvement
• Liaise with the Safety Manager and Contractors to implement Corporate HSE Management ethics
• Monitor contractors to ensure compliance with applicable safety measures and best practices
• Review Hazard Analysis, Risk Assessment Plans, and work method statements at the site
• Conduct HSE site visits and report findings to the Resident Engineer for immediate rectification
• Review and monitor contractors' monthly HSE inspections and reports
• Conduct monthly safety meetings, set targets for outstanding issues, and manage follow-up minutes
• Review emergency preparedness, permit to work systems, Toolbox Talks, and HSE statistics
• Investigate incident and accident reports, communicate learning points, and monitor corrective actions

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree or Diploma in any discipline
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience working as a Safety Officer
• Recognized Health and Safety education and certifications (e.g., NEBOSH IGC Level 3 or above)
• Valid training or licenses including ADOSH SF, First Aid, and Fire Safety
• Ability to attend physical interviews in Abu Dhabi

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 3 years of recent experience in construction supervision of infrastructure work
• NEBOSH, OTHM, or NVQ International Diploma Level 4-5
• Relevant experience working within an engineering consulting firm
• Previous experience working in the UAE
• Possession of a valid driving license
