HSE Officer

Responsibilities

• Review and implement site-specific HSE policies and procedures to ensure contract compliance
• Conduct regular inspection tours to identify hazards and rectify breaches of safety procedures
• Prepare and submit daily activity reports, including inspection findings and recommended corrective actions
• Develop HSE documentation such as Method Statements, work permit procedures, and safety equipment requisitions
• Monitor work activities and strictly enforce Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements on-site
• Enforce the Permit to Work (PTW) system and exercise authority to stop any work not in compliance
• Participate in incident investigations regarding near misses, property damage, injuries, and spills
• Ensure all power hand tools and plant machinery have passed inspection criteria prior to usage

Requirements

• Minimum professional certification of NEBOSH IGC
• At least 5 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry
• Minimum of 3 years of experience specifically in shutdown activities
• Mandatory experience with QatarEnergy LNG shutdowns
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and Microsoft Projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
