HSE Officer

Responsibilities

• Implement, monitor, and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and standards
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents and prepare reports
• Conduct risk assessments, safety inductions, and HSE training sessions
• Monitor environmental compliance including waste management and emissions
• Maintain accurate HSE records and compliance documentation
• Promote a proactive safety culture through awareness programs
• Liaise with regulatory authorities during inspections
• Support emergency response planning and participate in drills
• Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety into operations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant discipline
• Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in the oil & gas industry
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, NEBOSH, ISO 45001, and local HSE regulations
• Mandatory NEBOSH and related certifications
• Experience in risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations
• Proficiency in MS Office and HSE reporting tools
