HSE Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure regulatory compliance and promote a culture of sustainability.
• Assist the Site Director in identifying hazards and controlling risks across the Aubervilliers and Silex² sites.
• Lead and manage a team consisting of three HSE technicians and one apprentice.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits within research and laboratory environments to implement corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations, ensuring timely reporting and documentation of all findings.
• Advise management on compliance regarding applicable EU legislation and Syensqo Group requirements.
• Coordinate site emergency plans and participate in management team "Safety Dialogues."
• Monitor and analyze HSE performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Experience as a Senior R&I Manager with HSE expertise or strong HSE awareness.
• Proven background working in research organizations or laboratory environments.
• Comprehensive knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and guidance.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence employees at all levels.
• Ability to work 100% on-site in Aubervilliers and travel to other company sites as needed.
• A pragmatic approach to applying rules and standards within a dynamic context.
