HSE Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for HSE programs across two production sites (Augusta, GA and Greenville, SC)
• Serve as an active member of the Site Leadership Team to influence safe and compliant business decisions
• Develop and execute site-wide HSE strategies aligned with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements
• Champion a proactive safety culture through transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA, EPA, RCRA, PSM, and SPCC
• Oversee risk assessments, process safety management (PSM), hazard analysis (PHA, HAZOP, JSA), and incident investigations
• Manage emergency response programs, drills, and coordination with local agencies
• Lead, mentor, and develop HSE staff and contractors while managing the departmental budget
• Track and communicate HSE performance metrics to drive continuous improvement

Requirements

• B.S. in Engineering or an HSE-related field
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation
• 12+ years of HSE experience specifically within the chemical industry
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a supervisory or management role within a manufacturing environment
• Deep knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety management systems
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
