About the role
Responsibilities
- Operate and manage the HSE/BC management system
- Implement and maintain SGS global HSE/Operational Integrity requirements at country level
- Develop and maintain local HSE policies, procedures, and instructions
- Monitor HSE performance, conduct site inspections, and report KPIs
- Ensure compliance with Hungarian and EU HSE legislation and SGS Group Policies
- Identify, assess, and manage workplace risks and implement mitigation measures
- Investigate accidents and incidents using root cause analysis
- Develop and deliver HSE training programmes for employees and subcontractors
- Implement the local Business Continuity framework and maintain Business Continuity Plans (BCP)
- Coordinate response and recovery in case of disruption
- Manage internal audit programmes and coordinate global audits
- Manage service contracts related to HSE
- Conduct audits within the Business Assurance division
Requirements
- Relevant technical degree
- Fire safety officer and occupational health and safety technician qualifications
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in a similar position
- Knowledge of environmental records and declarations
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- Computer literacy at user level
- Driving license category B
