HSE Manager - Manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HSE policies, procedures, and initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant Australian legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Provide expert advice and support to management and staff to foster a proactive safety culture.
• Coordinate incident investigations, root cause analysis, and reporting.
• Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees at all levels.
• Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics to senior leadership.
• Manage relationships with external regulatory bodies and promote environmental sustainability initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an HSE management role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Australian HSE legislation and standards.
• Experience working within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing sectors.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Must have the right to live and work in Australia (no visa sponsorship provided).

Preferred Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field.
• Cert IV in Work Health and Safety.
• Lead Auditor certification.
