HSE Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.
• Formulate safety policies in compliance with local, state, and federal OSHA rules and regulations.
• Maintain ISO 14001 and 45001 compliant programs.
• Manage environmental recordkeeping and administration, including compliance with Title V Air, NPDES Water, and 1200Z Stormwater permitting.
• Coordinate with federal (EPA) and state (DEQ/OSHA) regulators for reporting and onsite inspections.
• Design, supervise, and coordinate training programs to increase proficiency in safe practices.
• Conduct HSE Management System (HSEMS) audits to verify continuous compliance.
• Provide shop floor presence to evaluate potential accident and health hazards and recommend corrective measures.
• Support and execute processes related to environmental sustainability and injury reduction.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of progressive HSE experience in a manufacturing environment.
• BA/BS degree in Safety and Health Management, Environmental Sciences, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong knowledge of environmental management programs and regulatory standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write technical reports and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
