HSE Manager

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of Built's HSE Management Plan, policies, and procedures across the project.
• Coach and influence project teams and subcontractors to build a proactive safety culture.
• Champion critical risk controls and Built Worthy Site Behaviours across site operations.
• Provide practical advice on HSE compliance, legislation, and industry best practice.
• Facilitate safety training, workshops, and critical risk reviews.
• Lead and support incident investigations, including ICAM investigations where required.
• Drive reporting and close-out of incidents, hazards, audits, and corrective actions.
• Monitor project compliance through inspections, audits, and safety assurance activities.
• Support injury management, workers compensation, and return-to-work processes.
• Build strong working relationships with project stakeholders, regulators, unions, and industry partners.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Health, Safety & Environment role within construction, engineering, infrastructure, or data centres.
• Strong understanding of Australian WHS legislation and industry best practice.
• Experience supporting large-scale or complex construction projects.
• Demonstrated capability in incident investigation and risk management.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
• Experience conducting site inspections, audits, and compliance activities.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
