HSE Lead R&D

Responsibilities

• Drive the execution and improvement of HSE practices across Boxmeer facilities
• Act as the designated Preventiemedewerker and ensure compliance with Dutch HSE/ARBO and environmental legislation
• Partner with operational teams to identify risks and implement practical safety improvements on the work floor
• Drive a proactive safety culture through coaching, engagement, and visible leadership
• Investigate incidents and use insights to strengthen preventive actions
• Coordinate audits, inspections, and regulatory interactions to ensure full compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in HSE, Engineering, or a related field
• 6–8 years of experience in operational, laboratory, or manufacturing environments
• Strong knowledge of Dutch HSE/ARBO and environmental legislation
• Experience with HSE management systems, risk assessments, and compliance processes
• Fluency in both Dutch and English
• Ability to work onsite in Boxmeer to build strong relationships with operational teams

Preferred Qualifications

• HVK (or equivalent) qualification
• Experience working in R&D, laboratory, or pilot plant environments
• Exposure to behavioral safety and continuous improvement initiatives
