HSE Lead

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and standards for industrial projects.
• Champion site HSSE programs, including enforcement of permit-to-work, JSA/JHA, LOTO, and confined space controls.
• Drive risk identification, assessment, and reduction regarding project and construction protocols.
• Conduct safety inspections and work area audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and verified.
• Ensure full compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective/preventive actions.
• Coordinate HSE requirements for heavy lifts, modular setting, and hydro/pneumatic testing.
• Manage project environmental compliance, including stormwater plans and waste disposal manifesting.
• Develop and coordinate HSE training programs for company resources and construction contractors.

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of industrial HSE experience in chemical, petrochemical, construction, or heavy industries, OR a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related technical discipline.
• Strong knowledge of safety and health management systems and safe work practices.
• Knowledge of environmental requirements, specifically regarding stormwater and waste.
• Proven ability to identify hazards and recommend effective mitigation strategies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to work in a field-based environment, including walking uneven terrain and working outdoors daily.
