About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and update Health, Safety, and Environment Management Plans.
  • Create and execute monitoring schedules, including site tours, inspections, and audits.
  • Lead weekly formal Health and Safety inspections, workshops, and meetings.
  • Chair weekly Health and Safety meetings with contractor management teams.
  • Review and approve contractor Health and Safety plans, method statements, and risk assessments (MS/RA).
  • Ensure contractor compliance with HSE policies, legal requirements, and management system procedures.
  • Monitor and review the HSE performance of contractors and their supply chains.
  • Investigate all accidents, incidents, and near misses in accordance with employer protocols.
  • Provide technical assistance and leadership to contractors regarding HSE standards.
  • Report regularly to the employer and Head Office on HSE performance and monthly metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Level 5+ Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH Level 5, NVQ Level 5, or equivalent).
  • Professional certification such as CM/Cert.-IOSH, CSP, CRSP, or MIIRSM.
  • ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor certification.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in the Building Construction industry, specifically with Villa and High-rise projects.
  • Valid UAE driving licence and possession of a personal vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working as a Supervision Consultant.
