HSE Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and update Health, Safety, and Environment Management Plans
• Create and execute monitoring schedules, including site tours, inspections, and audits
• Lead weekly formal Health and Safety inspections, workshops, and meetings
• Chair weekly Health and Safety meetings with contractor management teams
• Review and approve contractor Health and Safety plans, method statements, and risk assessments (MS/RA)
• Ensure contractor compliance with HSE policies, legal requirements, and management system procedures
• Provide leadership, technical assistance, and guidance to contractors regarding HSE standards
• Monitor and review the HSE performance of the contractor and their supply chain
• Investigate all accidents, incidents, and near misses in accordance with employer protocols
• Report regularly to the employer and Head Office on HSE performance via monthly reports

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field
• Level 5+ Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH Level 5, NVQ Level 5, or equivalent)
• Professional certification such as CM/Cert.-IOSH, CSP, CRSP, MIIRSM, or equivalent
• ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor certification
• Minimum 12 years of experience in the Building Construction industry (specifically Villa and High-rise buildings)
• Valid UAE driving licence and possession of a personal vehicle

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Supervision Consultant
