About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and actively participate in emergency brigade practices and drills
- Coordinate and/or provide training on emergency response, fire extinguisher use, first aid, and hazardous materials handling
- Monitor high-risk work permits (confined spaces, hot work, work at heights, etc.) and verify safe conditions
- Supervise and maintain the brigade room, ensuring availability and operability of emergency equipment
- Support the preparation of reports, indicators, and improvement plans for safety and emergency response
- Collaborate with the EHS area on internal campaigns and safety audits
- Manage emergency response teams and conduct functional tests of showers, eyewash stations, and fire protection systems
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Safety, Risk Management, or related fields
- Minimum 3 years of experience in emergency brigade management, industrial safety, or related areas
- Verifiable knowledge of STPS regulations (NOM-002-STPS, NOM-005-STPS, NOM-009-STPS, etc.)
- Leadership skills and ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams
- Analytical skills to identify risks and propose improvements
- Effective communication skills for training and drill coordination
