About the role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine safety inspections and walkthroughs to identify unsafe conditions
  • Document findings and track corrective actions to verify closure
  • Deliver or assist with safety training such as forklift, HAZCOM, and PPE
  • Maintain training records and support onboarding safety orientation
  • Assist in documenting incidents, near misses, and supporting root cause investigations
  • Maintain OSHA logs, SDS management, and permit records
  • Support LOTO audits and monitor MHE compliance
  • Verify housekeeping standards and check emergency equipment

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, or warehouse environments
  • Working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910, LOTO, and forklift safety
  • Familiarity with Hazard Communication (SDS, labeling)
  • Ability to conduct field inspections and identify unsafe behaviors
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Strong written communication for documentation and report writing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Technology, or a related field
