HSE Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Monitor production floor activity to ensure all personnel operate within prescribed safety guidelines
• Execute health, safety, and environmental (HSE) initiatives and GAP safety program strategies
• Conduct investigations into reported hazards and near-miss reports to identify solutions and improve safety culture
• Perform safety audits and ensure adherence to environmental SOPs and local, state, and federal regulations
• Facilitate safety training, orientations, and walkthroughs for new hires and existing team members
• Maintain accurate safety documentation and records for all plant personnel
• Lead the safety committee and partner with site leadership to mitigate plant risks
• Track HSE performance and report findings to supervisors and management

Requirements

• Prior experience in a safety role within a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated experience monitoring HSE performance and programs
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills
• Ability to work the night shift (11pm-7am, Sunday-Thursday)
