HSE Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing HSE policies, procedures, and company safety standards at site and office locations.
• Support HSE Officers in conducting daily safety inspections and monitoring compliance.
• Maintain and update HSE records, reports, permits, inspection checklists, and training documentation.
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and awareness campaigns to promote a positive safety culture.
• Help identify workplace hazards and report unsafe acts, conditions, and near-miss incidents.
• Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure worker compliance.
• Support incident investigations by collecting information and preparing reports.
• Assist in emergency preparedness activities, including drills and equipment inspections.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE statistics and reports for management and clients.
• Support permit-to-work (PTW) activities and ensure required documentation is available.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• 2-5 years of HSE experience in construction, oil & gas, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and international safety standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Good communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work in both site and office environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent HSE qualification.
