HSE Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and company safety standards
• Support HSE Officers in conducting daily safety inspections and monitoring compliance
• Maintain and update HSE records, reports, permits, and training documentation
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and awareness campaigns
• Assist in conducting site safety audits and following up on corrective actions
• Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Help identify workplace hazards and report unsafe acts or near-miss incidents
• Support incident investigations by collecting information and preparing reports
• Assist in emergency preparedness activities and equipment inspections
• Coordinate with supervisors to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and client requirements
• Track employee safety inductions and HSE training attendance
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE statistics and reports
• Support permit-to-work (PTW) activities

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in any discipline
• 2-5 years of HSE experience in construction, oil & gas, or industrial projects
• Knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and international safety standards
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
• Good communication and report-writing skills

Preferred Qualifications

• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent HSE qualification
