HSE Advisor

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day HSE performance on construction sites to ensure compliance with UAE regulations and international best practices
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, issuing and following up on corrective actions
• Support project leadership with HSE reporting, incident investigations, and root-cause analysis
• Review and approve contractor HSE plans, method statements, permits to work, and emergency response procedures
• Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness campaigns to reinforce safe work practices
• Monitor high-risk activities including excavation, lifting, working at height, and confined spaces
• Maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports, inspection logs, and compliance records
• Coordinate with client representatives, consultants, and contractors to resolve HSE issues

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
• 8–12 years of HSE experience specifically in construction supervision within the UAE or GCC
• Strong understanding of UAE HSE legislation, local authority requirements, and international standards (OSHA, NEBOSH, ISO 45001)
• Mandatory certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, OSHA, or an equivalent professional qualification
• Demonstrated experience managing HSE on building, infrastructure, or mixed-use development projects
• Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills
