H&S Officer - Natural Resources (Minerals & OGC)

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain and improve the Health, Safety and Environment system for Natural Resources Operations
• Coordinate monthly HSE meetings and review incidents, hazards, and operational priorities
• Monitor HSE compliance in laboratories, field stations, and client sites
• Plan and deliver HSE training, onboarding, and refresher sessions
• Manage HSE performance reporting including Lost Time Injury Rate and incident status
• Lead and facilitate risk assessments for high-risk activities and new processes
• Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are closed
• Drive safety improvement initiatives and digitalization strategies

Requirements

• University degree in Safety, Health, Environmental Engineering, or related Engineering major
• At least 3 years of HSE experience in Laboratory or Inspection environments
• Strong knowledge of HSE legal regulations
• Proficiency in English (writing, reading, speaking, and listening)
• Strong computer, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Proven ability to foster a safety culture
