H&S Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Coach and support line managers, employees, and project managers in the Central and North-East Switzerland regions regarding H&S matters.
• Conduct regular site visits to exchange information with plant managers and engage with field employees.
• Perform risk assessments in collaboration with site managers to ensure a safe working environment.
• Develop, plan, and coordinate training actions and initiatives to strengthen the company's safety culture.
• Verify that corporate guidelines, processes, and national requirements (e.g., SUVA) are implemented consistently.
• Investigate incidents and accidents to identify root causes and develop corrective measures.
• Contribute to the management and further development of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 management systems.
• Participate in working groups and maintain contact with industry associations and authorities.

Requirements

• Technical degree (HF, FH, ETH) and professional experience in heavy industry.
• Certification as an EKAS Safety Specialist, Safety Engineer, or equivalent with mandatory advanced training.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate teams and take responsibility.
• Deep understanding of operational risks within the building materials industry or similar industrial production environments.
• Strong knowledge of legal regulations and standards, including SUVA, and ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001/OHSAS 18001).
• Practical experience in designing and implementing safety projects from conception to completion.
