HR Specialist

Responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers to support recruitment and selection for hourly and salaried roles, including screening, interviewing, and onboarding
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, conducting initial investigations into complaints or policy violations
• Provide guidance to employees and supervisors regarding HR policies, practices, and legal compliance
• Support benefits administration, including health, retirement, leave, and wellness programs
• Audit timecards and coordinate with payroll to ensure accurate compensation and attendance tracking
• Maintain compliance with labor laws, OSHA requirements, and internal policies
• Generate HR metrics and reports for workforce planning, turnover analysis, and diversity reporting
• Assist in coordinating and tracking employee training sessions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of HR generalist or specialist experience
• Working knowledge of labor regulations including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and EEOC
• Proficiency in HRIS systems (Workday preferred) and MS Office applications
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within a manufacturing or unionized environment
