About the Company

8Fleet is a rapidly growing LA-based technology and logistics startup building the operational infrastructure for both autonomous and non-autonomous rideshare fleets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee weekly payroll for high-volume non-exempt employees in California, including overtime and PTO validation
• Reconcile semi-monthly payroll for exempt employees in partnership with PEO
• Serve as a subject matter expert on California state wage and hour laws
• Manage employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and FSA/HSA
• Lead annual open enrollment processes and system configuration
• Facilitate new hire onboarding, HR orientations, and offboarding procedures
• Maintain data integrity across HRIS, timekeeping, and PEO systems
• Assist with employee relations and performance documentation

Requirements

• 1-2+ years of HR or People Operations experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Experience handling sensitive employee data
• Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented mindset

Benefits

• Base salary range of $65,000 to $75,000
