HR Risk Manager

Responsibilities

• Support the development and continuous improvement of the HR Risk & Controls Framework
• Maintain the global HR risk register, ensuring risks are clearly defined and regularly reviewed
• Design and oversee key HR controls across areas such as payroll, employee relations, recruitment, and data privacy
• Assess control effectiveness and support the remediation of identified gaps
• Partner with Internal/External Audit and Compliance to support audit activity and action tracking
• Monitor and report on Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to senior stakeholders
• Ensure HR practices comply with employment legislation and regulatory requirements
• Provide risk input into HR transformation initiatives and change programmes

Requirements

• Experience working in a Risk, Compliance, or Audit function
• Proven experience in HR Risk, Operational Risk, or HR Governance
• Strong understanding of HR processes and the global regulatory landscape, including Sarbox
• Knowledge of key risks such as privacy, information security, and third-party management
• Experience with risk frameworks and reporting
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a global, regulated environment
• Knowledge of ISO 31000 or similar risk frameworks
• Relevant professional qualifications such as IRM or CIPD
• Degree-level qualification
