About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for approximately 215 hourly team members at the Hammond, IN factory
  • Manage employee relations, including conducting investigations, resolving grievances, and coaching managers
  • Foster collaborative Union/Management relationships and administer the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)
  • Lead and provide direction to managers regarding the Performance Management Process (PMP)
  • Partner with recruitment on hourly openings and manage end-to-end onboarding for new team members
  • Manage the medical accommodation process in alignment with company policies and employment laws
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for key HR tools, systems, and processes
  • Support union negotiation and collective bargaining processes

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Manufacturing or Factory HR experience (union environment preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field
  • Proficiency with Kronos timekeeping (required) and Workday or similar HRIS systems
  • Solid understanding of employment laws and HR practices
  • Ability to support off-shift operations, including maintaining a stable schedule for third-shift team members
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
