About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary onboard people team resource to support leadership and teammates
- Build and strengthen culture in alignment with mission, core values, and brand strategy through a DEI lens
- Lead the onboard HR team and act as an HR business partner expert
- Provide pragmatic advice to the Captain and management team regarding employment legislation and best practices
- Promote and advise on shipboard HR policies and programs
- Liaise with all departments to create an optimal work environment
- Assist with ensuring Global HESS compliance
- Partner with senior leaders, ship, and shore to diagnose people requirements and develop solutions
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all personnel information
Requirements
- Experience in HR management or as an HR Business Partner
- Knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices
- Ability to lead and manage an HR team
- Strong ability to partner with senior leadership and cross-functional departments
