Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary onboard people team resource to support leadership and teammates
  • Build and strengthen culture in alignment with mission, core values, and brand strategy through a DEI lens
  • Lead the onboard HR team and act as an HR business partner expert
  • Provide pragmatic advice to the Captain and management team regarding employment legislation and best practices
  • Promote and advise on shipboard HR policies and programs
  • Liaise with all departments to create an optimal work environment
  • Assist with ensuring Global HESS compliance
  • Partner with senior leaders, ship, and shore to diagnose people requirements and develop solutions
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all personnel information

Requirements

  • Experience in HR management or as an HR Business Partner
  • Knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices
  • Ability to lead and manage an HR team
  • Strong ability to partner with senior leadership and cross-functional departments
