HR Officer

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, transfers, promotions, and separations
• Ensure HR policies and procedures are implemented consistently and maintain compliance with statutory requirements
• Coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, and interview coordination
• Partner with hiring managers to support workforce planning and manpower needs
• Serve as the focal point for HRIS data management and coordinate monthly payroll inputs
• Administer employee benefits programs, including insurance, wellness initiatives, and leave management
• Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies and benefits
• Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives and recognition activities to promote a positive workplace culture
• Support performance management processes, including goal setting and development planning

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• 4-6 years of progressive HR experience with exposure to operations, recruitment, and employee relations
• Knowledge of the NGO business sector
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of local employment law and regulatory requirements
• Practical knowledge of local country accounting principles and fiscal statutes

Preferred Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification or certification in Human Resources Management
• Experience with HRIS or payroll systems
• Experience with accounting systems
• Knowledge of institutional funders for international development
