About the Company

ZHD Stevedores is a family business that operates 24/7 port terminals in the seaport of Dordrecht and Moerdijk. Their services include the transshipment of cargo (bulk goods, breakbulk, and containers) and the provision of (covered) storage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the HR department
• Develop and implement HR strategies and personnel policies
• Advise the management and MT at a strategic level
• Provide both strategic and hands-on advice on HR-related themes
• Translate and secure organizational objectives into HR policy
• Draft policy documents, reports, and procedures
• Take ultimate responsibility for developing data-driven policies
• Promote sustainable employability and employee satisfaction
• Manage the full employee lifecycle: inflow, internal movement, and outflow
• Ensure future-oriented office management
• Actively participate in meetings with the works council and provide input on policy and personnel matters
• Maintain relationships with external parties such as occupational health services and legal partners

Requirements

• Completed HBO+ level education, preferably in HR, with relevant work experience
• Affinity with logistical business processes
• Knowledge of labor law, social legislation, and HR processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
• Good command of Dutch and English (written and spoken)
• Strong communication and persuasion skills
• Ability to work in a planned and project-based manner
• Proactive and problem-solving mindset
• Accurate, organized, and sensitive to organizational needs
• Integrity, discretion, and reliability
