About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic business partner to Plant Leadership to support organizational growth and talent development.
  • Lead recruitment efforts for exempt and non-exempt positions, overseeing advertising, screening, and onboarding.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace concerns.
  • Manage employee relations, including conducting investigations into complaints or policy violations.
  • Oversee performance management, talent calibration, succession planning, and merit review programs.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate internal and external development programs.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Partner with the plant leadership team to support safety programs and continuous improvement practices.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in HR, Business, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and coaching abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with high discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within the manufacturing industry.
  • Professional certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR.
