About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and employment questions across Canada.
- Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, job changes, and maintaining employee documentation.
- Draft and maintain employment contracts, HR letters, policy documents, and employee communications.
- Assist managers and employees with employee relations, performance concerns, workplace accommodations, and policy interpretation.
- Coordinate leave administration processes, including statutory leaves, disability leaves, and return-to-work support in compliance with provincial legislation.
- Collaborate with Payroll Administrators to support payroll processes, employee data changes, and ensure compliance with internal practices.
- Manage benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and general inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with provincial employment standards, specifically in Quebec (CNESST), Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia.
- Support recruitment activities such as job postings, interview coordination, and candidate communication.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist or similar role.
- Bilingual fluency in French and English is required to support employees across Canada.
- Proven experience supporting employees across multiple Canadian provinces (QC, ON, AB, BC).
- Strong knowledge of Canadian employment standards and provincial regulations, including CNESST.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CPHR designation or other relevant HR certifications.
- Experience with HRIS platforms such as Zoho People.
