HR Generalist - Talent & Benefits

Responsibilities

• Support the Talent Acquisition team by coordinating interviews, communicating with candidates, and managing hiring workflows.
• Manage the end-to-end background check process, including initiating screenings and tracking status.
• Act as the operational bridge between Talent and Operations to ensure systems access, equipment, and logistics are ready for new hires.
• Assist in planning and facilitating new hire orientation sessions.
• Maintain accurate records within the ATS and HRIS to ensure data integrity for reporting.
• Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401(k).
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries and support open enrollment execution.
• Partner with Finance and Payroll to reconcile benefits billing and carrier files.

Requirements

• Experience in HR operations, talent coordination, or a recruiting support role.
• Familiarity with background check processes and vendors.
• Working knowledge of US employee benefits administration and compliance basics (ACA, COBRA, ERISA).
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple hiring cycles and onboarding tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with ATS and HRIS platforms.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a dual recruiting and operations or HR generalist role.
• Exposure to new hire orientation program design or facilitation.
• Familiarity with multi-state or international benefits administration.
• PHR, SHRM-CP, or benefits-specific certification.
