About the role

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns within the manufacturing plant.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture and drive employee engagement initiatives.
  • Mediate, investigate, and resolve workplace conflicts to ensure fair treatment.
  • Guide employees through benefits processes, including FMLA, STD, and LTD.
  • Support disciplinary processes by reviewing documentation, issuing actions, and providing recommendations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of performance appraisal systems and HR policies.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (ADA, ADEA, EEOC, NLRA, etc.).
  • Identify training needs and facilitate workshops or employee development programs.
  • Collaborate with the Plant Manager to align development plans and improve the work environment.
  • Provide HR support across different shifts, including rotating, night, and split shifts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in HR or a related professional role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment laws/regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS platforms.
  • Familiarity with Workday, ADP, or similar software programs.
  • Ability to work an alternating shift schedule: 4 weeks of day shift followed by 4 weeks of night shift.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
