About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage compensation and benefits administration, including part-time faculty pay, stipends, and job assignments.
  • Oversee HRIS operations within Banner to ensure data integrity, system performance, and accurate reporting.
  • Support labor relations by maintaining adjunct teaching history and ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
  • Assist with payroll administration by auditing payroll-related data and resolving discrepancies in partnership with the Payroll department.
  • Maintain HR technology assets, including the HR intranet, website content, and Dynamic Forms templates.
  • Act as a strategic liaison for college deans and department chairs regarding faculty and staff compensation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in human resources.
  • Demonstrated success in compensation management and payroll support.
  • Proven experience working with an HR Information System (HRIS).
  • Proficiency with report-writing tools.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Banner HR (HRIS) and Argos (report-writer).
  • At least one year of experience in the higher education or not-for-profit sector.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment and assisting with union contract interpretation.
