About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage compensation and benefits administration, serving as a liaison for faculty and staff regarding pay, stipends, and job assignments.
  • Oversee part-time faculty employment and pay entries within the Banner HRIS, ensuring compliance with university policies.
  • Support HRIS operations by maintaining data integrity, assisting with audits, and managing system access and reporting structures.
  • Manage labor relations tasks, including maintaining adjunct teaching history, coordinating union dues, and ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
  • Support payroll administration by validating processing accuracy, auditing payroll-related data, and partnering with the payroll department to resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain HR intranet content, website accuracy, and manage digital templates and chatbots.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in human resources.
  • Demonstrated success in compensation management and payroll support.
  • Proficiency with HR Information Systems (HRIS) and experience using a report-writer.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Banner HR (HRIS) and Argos (report-writer).
  • At least one year of experience in the higher education or not-for-profit sector.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment and assisting with union contract interpretation.
