About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operational management of the HR support function and oversee the employee lifecycle
- Act as a trusted advisor to managers on employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution
- Lead the operational execution of annual performance and salary review processes
- Ensure HR practices comply with Québec labour laws and internal governance
- Lead, coach, and support a team of HR Department Managers and Coordinators
- Partner with Payroll, Finance, and Talent Acquisition to ensure smooth execution of HR processes
Requirements
- 12 to 15+ years of progressive experience in human resources
- At least 7 years in a people management or senior HR leadership role
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, or Business Administration
- Strong knowledge of Québec labour standards and employment legislation
- Fluency in French and English (oral and written)
- Experience in VFX, animation, gaming, or creative services preferred
- Proficiency with HRIS and collaboration tools
Preferred Qualifications
- CRHA/CPHR designation
- Experience with HiBob, SmartRecruiters, or ShotGrid
