HR Director

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operational management of the HR support function and oversee the employee lifecycle
• Act as a trusted advisor to managers on employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution
• Lead the operational execution of annual performance and salary review processes
• Ensure HR practices comply with Québec labour laws and internal governance
• Lead, coach, and support a team of HR Department Managers and Coordinators
• Partner with Payroll, Finance, and Talent Acquisition to ensure smooth execution of HR processes

Requirements

• 12 to 15+ years of progressive experience in human resources
• At least 7 years in a people management or senior HR leadership role
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, or Business Administration
• Strong knowledge of Québec labour standards and employment legislation
• Fluency in French and English (oral and written)
• Experience in VFX, animation, gaming, or creative services preferred
• Proficiency with HRIS and collaboration tools

Preferred Qualifications

• CRHA/CPHR designation
• Experience with HiBob, SmartRecruiters, or ShotGrid
