HR Compliance and Payroll Manager

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable HR systems and processes for onboarding, offboarding, and records management
• Own end-to-end monthly payroll review, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory returns
• Oversee all industrial relations, including disciplinary processes, grievances, and CCMA matters
• Develop and enforce clear IR case management protocols within defined SLAs
• Build and maintain HR dashboards for headcount, leave liability, and compliance metrics
• Manage full labour law compliance including BCEA, LRA, COIDA, EEA, and POPIA
• Create and maintain clear, operationally implementable policy documentation
• Manage the salary budget and report on workforce cost projections

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Law, Business, Engineering, or a related analytical discipline
• Minimum 5 years' experience managing HR, IR, or payroll operations for a large workforce
• Proven track record of designing and implementing HR or operational processes at scale
• Hands-on experience managing CCMA cases and South African labour law
• Strong proficiency in payroll systems, spreadsheets, and HR reporting tools
• Experience in project or process management
