HR Business Partner

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary HR point of contact for employees, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and employee relations.
• Align global HR policies with local labor laws in Japan and South Korea to support organizational growth.
• Coordinate payroll processes with external providers, ensuring accuracy in timesheets, bonuses, and deductions.
• Support managers with performance reviews, goal setting, and professional development plans.
• Partner with the local Talent Acquisition team to ensure recruitment decisions reflect company values and cultural fit.
• Oversee onboarding processes and develop initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention.
• Maintain regular communication with the Paris HQ to ensure global HR consistency and visibility.
• Manage day-to-day office management and execute events to enhance the employee experience.

Requirements

• 6+ years of HR experience specifically within Japan.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of local employment law and employee relations best practices.
• Proficiency with payroll systems and coordinating with external providers.
• Fluency in both English and Japanese.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• Willingness to travel domestically when required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within the luxury or high-end retail sector.
• Proficiency in Korean.
