HR and Benefits Advisor

Responsibilities

• Prepare HR documentation for new hires, changes, layoffs, terminations, and other employee lifecycle activities
• Maintain accurate employee records across HR, payroll, benefits, and filing systems
• Administer benefits, pension, and disability-related processes, including employee enquiries and annual reconciliations
• Coordinate with Payroll, IT, and Safety teams to support onboarding and employee changes
• Support recruitment activities including job postings, interview coordination, and pre-screening
• Track probation periods, training completion, and other HR reporting requirements
• Support finance activities such as invoice coding and purchase order tasks where required

Requirements

• Fluency in both French and English is essential
• Previous experience in an HR Administrator, HR Assistant, Benefits Administrator, or similar support role
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Must be able to work onsite at the Mont-Joli facility
• Must have the right to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting multi-site operations
• Experience working with Canadian benefits, pension, or payroll systems
