About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for UK-based line managers for people-related queries via the Helix case management system.
- Provide clear and consistent guidance on HR policies, including talent management, performance, DE&I, absence, and informal employee relations.
- Coach and challenge managers through cyclical people activities such as goal setting, feedback, and reward reviews.
- Escalate complex or sensitive cases to HR Business Partners or Centres of Expertise as required.
- Promote the use of self-service tools and ensure adherence to correct process channels for all HR transactions.
- Support managers in embedding diversity and inclusion principles into daily people management.
- Track and analyse query trends to inform service improvements and the development of HR policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as an HR Generalist or within an HR Shared Services environment.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices and the full employee lifecycle.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering talent management and employee relations (ER) support.
- Excellent communication and coaching skills, with the ability to advise and challenge managers diplomatically.
- Solid understanding of UK Employment law.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
