HR Administration and Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly payroll processing for Italy and Spain in accordance with local compliance and payroll calendars
• Provide payroll instructions to external providers, review results, and validate accuracy
• Ensure payroll operations comply with internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements
• Coordinate payroll-related tax, social security, pension, and insurance activities and payments
• Conduct regular payroll audits and validation checks to ensure data integrity
• Resolve complex payroll issues in partnership with HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors
• Monitor vendor performance and service level commitments
• Maintain strict compliance with GDPR and data privacy requirements
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in payroll administration or a payroll specialist role
• Fluency in written and spoken English, Italian, and Spanish
• Strong knowledge of payroll and HR processes, systems, and controls
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and work effectively under tight deadlines
