About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage monthly payroll processing for Italy and Spain in accordance with local compliance and payroll calendars
- Provide payroll instructions to external providers, review results, and validate accuracy
- Ensure payroll operations comply with internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements
- Coordinate payroll-related tax, social security, pension, and insurance activities and payments
- Conduct regular payroll audits and validation checks to ensure data integrity
- Resolve complex payroll issues in partnership with HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors
- Monitor vendor performance and service level commitments
- Maintain strict compliance with GDPR and data privacy requirements
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in payroll administration or a payroll specialist role
- Fluency in written and spoken English, Italian, and Spanish
- Strong knowledge of payroll and HR processes, systems, and controls
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and work effectively under tight deadlines
