About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide general clerical and administrative support for the HR function at the plant
- Monitor break room and office supply inventories
- Manage the attendance call-in line and update timesheets
- Respond to verifications of employment and other inquiries
- Maintain the HRIS and process employee changes
- Provide onboarding support including scheduling appointments and background checks
- Maintain and update the company intranet
- Assist with the planning and execution of company events
- Manage the lobby area and greet visitors
- Act as a resource to employees regarding benefits, payroll, and policies
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Prior experience in HR or an administrative function
- Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
- 1+ year of experience in HR or administration
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
