About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, engineer, and manage a performant, reliable, and secure high-performance computing (HPC) environment
- Establish strategies for overall system support and monitor overall system health and performance
- Perform hardware maintenance and software installations, including operating system upgrades
- Evaluate new hardware and software to understand potential benefits and impacts on the environment
- Provide support for data management and work with users to resolve technical problems
- Engage with vendors for infrastructure problem resolution and technology roadmaps
- Collaborate with globally distributed technical teams and business customers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on Linux experience (e.g., RHEL, CentOS)
- Experience in production infrastructure support (networking, storage, compute, monitoring)
- Experience with HPC technologies such as parallel/distributed file systems (Lustre, GPFS), high-speed interconnect fabrics (Infiniband), and batch scheduling software (SLURM, PBSPro)
- Proficiency in technical writing and documentation
- Solid understanding of data center operations fundamentals, including networking, cooling, and power
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large-scale production environments
- Knowledge of installing and compiling vendor and open-source software
- Experience with application or infrastructure deployment in major cloud environments
- Ability to work the 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM IST shift in Bengaluru
