HPC Data Center Infrastructure Planning Lead

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the full portfolio of HPC infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with business priorities and timely delivery.
• Drive project prioritization based on business impact, resource availability, and technical dependencies.
• Manage end-to-end contractor and vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, scheduling, and performance oversight.
• Provide high-level project reporting and status updates to leadership regarding progress, risks, and resource needs.
• Support new data center lease evaluations, including space planning, power requirements, and facility readiness assessments.
• Utilize AI tools in daily workflows to drive efficiency in project planning, reporting, and analysis.

Requirements

• Significant experience managing infrastructure projects in HPC or large-scale data center environments.
• Proven ability to manage contractors and vendors, including schedule management and performance accountability.
• Strong understanding of data center operations, including power, cooling, space planning, and structured cabling.
• Proficiency with Linux command line for system administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with networking concepts, configuration, and troubleshooting (e.g., InfiniBand, Ethernet).
• Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and operational efficiency.
• Ability to work onsite 5 days a week in Chicago or New York.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Networking certifications such as CCNA or equivalent professional experience.
