Housing Support Specialist

Responsibilities

• Work directly with individuals and families experiencing housing instability or homelessness to secure safe, affordable housing.
• Conduct intake assessments to determine client eligibility and specific needs.
• Collaborate with local landlords, agencies, and community partners to identify housing solutions.
• Provide ongoing case management and support to help clients maintain stable housing.
• Educate clients on tenant rights, responsibilities, and budgeting strategies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in compliance with program requirements.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in social work, human services, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience will be considered).
• Experience in housing programs, case management, or social services is highly valued.
• Proficiency in data entry and case management software.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for community travel.
• Demonstrated empathy, resilience, and cultural sensitivity.
